CMZ technology – Rigidity, stability and long-term accuracy

Every CMZ lathe is built on a structure engineered for thermal stability and rigidity, even under heavy-duty conditions. The slanted bed is not just a technical choice—it preserves machine geometry and precision over long runs, reducing thermal deformation.
The prismatic guides are designed for long-term durability: they withstand industrial impacts without losing precision or repeatability.

A key feature is the metal-to-metal contact in the prismatic guides, avoiding materials such as Turcite, reducing wear and ensuring constant performance under heavy loads.

The spindles use roller bearings, assembled in cleanrooms and preloaded with maximum precision. This provides superior concentricity, rigidity and quietness compared to conventional angular-contact bearings, maintaining tight tolerances even during long or high-speed machining.

The live tooling reaches up to 12,000 rpm, turning the lathe into a true multitasking machining center—milling, drilling and tapping at high speed. Machine transfers are reduced and cycle time is optimized.
